Prof. Sukhendu Mandal

Prof. Sukhendu Mandal completed his Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India. After completing his Ph.D., he held the postdoctoral fellow position at the Pennsylvania State University in the United States. Currently, he is a professor of chemistry at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM). His research interests cover new developments in the synthesis of 2D sheet materials, metal–organic frameworks, and metal nanoclusters for photophysical and energy-related applications

Prof. Stefanie Dehnen

Prof. Stefanie Dehnen completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Karlsruhe (now KIT), Germany, under Prof. Dieter Fenske. She then did postdoctoral work in theoretical chemistry at Karlsruhe under Prof. Reinhart Ahlrichs, and was later Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at Philipps-Universität Marburg. She is currently Professor at KIT and Executive Director of its Institute of Nanotechnology, working on multinary/multimetallic clusters (Zintl anions, intermetalloid clusters) for catalysis, white-light emission, and battery materials.

Co-Organizers

Dr. Subrata Kundu

Dr. Subrata Kundu completed his Ph.D. from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany, under Prof. Dr. Kallol Ray. He then held postdoctoral positions at Purdue University and at Georgetown University, in the United States. He is currently an Associate Professor of Chemistry at IISER-TVM, working on inorganic reaction mechanisms, catalysis, and bioinorganic chemistry.
